Hello! I'm Aly. I'm a British English teacher, and I teach live English classes online.
There are two ways to learn with me:

This is the cheapest way to practise speaking with me. You get about four classes every month. That is around £12 for each class.
In every class you:

Learn natural British English, not textbook English

Practise with other learners from around the world
It is a relaxed group. Mistakes are normal here. Nobody laughs at you, and everybody is learning.
When you join, I send you a link to the group chat. You get class notes every week, so if you miss a class, you do not miss the English.
This class is for intermediate and advanced learners. If you are a beginner, a private lesson is better for you.
Private 1-to-1 English lessons — £100 an hour
One hour. Just you and me. Any level.
A private lesson is completely different. There are no other students. There is no textbook and no fixed plan. We work on what you need.
When you book, you tell me two things:

What you find difficult in English

What you want to be able to do
Then I build the lesson around your answers. If you want to practise speaking, we speak. If you have a problem with a sound, we fix that sound. If you need English for your job, we use the English from your job.
Every level is welcome, including beginners. I speak clearly and I explain things simply, and you know from my YouTube videos, I like to draw, so lessons will be more visual!
After the lesson, I send you our English class notes with your mistakes, the correct English, and the new words we used.

Many students start with the free lessons, then join the group class, then book a private lesson when they have a specific goal. That is a good path.
Who is Aly?
I'm Aly, a British English teacher from London. I teach English on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok as Learn English with Papa Teach Me, and about two million people learn with me every week.
I teach real, natural British English — the English people actually speak, not the English in old textbooks. My classes are relaxed. Mistakes are normal, and you will not feel embarrassed.
I also teach British dialect coaching for actors.
Questions about my English classes
How much do English classes with Aly cost?
Group speaking classes cost £49.99 a month, and that includes about four classes. Private 1-to-1 lessons cost £100 for one hour.
When are the group classes?
Every Sunday at 2pm London time. You get about four classes every month.
What level do I need to be?
The group class is for intermediate and advanced learners. Private lessons are for any level, including beginners.
What if I miss a group class?
You still get the class notes every week, so you do not miss the English. There is no problem if you cannot come one week.
How long is a private lesson?
One hour, online by video call.
What will we study in a private lesson?
You choose. Tell me your problems and your goals when you book, and I will build the lesson around them. We do not use a textbook.
Can I book only one private lesson?
Yes. You do not need to buy a package and there is no contract.
Can I do both the group class and private lessons?
Yes, and many students do. They practise every week in the group and book a private lesson when they need help with something specific.
Do I need to prepare anything before a private lesson?
No, but it helps. If you send me a text, an email, a video or a question before the lesson, we can use it.
What if my English is too bad to have a conversation?
It is not. This is the most common worry, and it is almost never true. I will speak at the right speed for you, and I will help you when you get stuck.
Can I cancel the group class?
Yes, you can cancel any time.
